Turtles

Turtles can be found on all tropical and temperate continents except for Antarctica, just like terrapins and tortoises. Turtles have a strong outer shell that they use for protection from predators. Turtles spend most of their lives in the water. They have webbed feet for swimming. Turtles are omnivorous eating both plants and insects. There are many different shapes and sizes of turtles and depending on the species, they can live up to 70-150 years.
