The false gharial is a large crocodilian that is native to Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, and other areas in Southeast Asia. The average size is 16-18ft for the males and 10-11ft for the females. These gharials have an extremely long, slender snout and interlocking teeth. Their diet is varied to include deer, bats, fish and other small mammals. The average life expectancy is around 50-60 years.
