Cross-blend ostrich: Between the African Black, Blue Neck, and Red Neck. Known as the largest bird in the world, ostriches lay the largest eggs in the world. These eggs weigh the equivalent to 20-24 chicken eggs. Their usually spotted in Africa’s hot savannahs and are in grassland, savannah, and open woodland habitats. The average lifespan of a wild ostrich ranges between 30-40 years and can weigh up to 330lbs. These birds are the fastest runners of any bird or any other two-legged animal and can sprint over 43mph covering up to 5m in a single stride.
